Vision...Hello...no one can give you advice based on what you posted. You have to study the submission requirements with the agent or publisher you are trying to connect with. It depends on the market, genre, etc. Writer's Market or a similar site will allow you to do your own research. After that, you might say, "I have a 95,000 word, edited romance novel. based on Agent ABC's submission requirements posted on her website, she wants a synopsis and first three chapters. I have prepared these by their guidelines. Does anyone here have any experience with her? Thanks, Vision"...........see the difference? All those things are individualized. There is a "standard submission format," but every agent or publisher may have their own requirements.

YO! Read stickies. Also, check out query letter hell, and get in on some critiques. It really helps you realize how to write one.

Welcome, and congratulations on finishing your first book. If you need some help with that query letter, you can put it up for critique in Query Letter Hell once you reach fifty posts. Don't worry. You'll get there in no time. Just make sure they're meaningful posts.
