Hello, writers!

I am a paramedic who would really like to transition to a job that doesn't involve other people's bodily fluids. I enjoy giant glasses of sweet iced tea and chasing my energetic toddler.

My long term goal is to publish my YA novel. My short term goal is to improve my grammar and character development. My very short term goal is to keep myself from drooling over anyone with a published book in their signature.

I look forward to getting to know the forum.

Chasing toddlers is the best! I love that age. They are so much fun and you get to watch their little personalities emerge. It's a ton of work, but still. I don't have kids of my own (yet) but I've worked as a live-in, full-time nanny, mostly for families with toddlers and babies.

Can I assume, from your reference to giant glasses of sweet iced tea, that you have some ties to the American South? If so, welcome fellow Southerner! :D

Guilty! I was born and raised here. If I didn't like sweet tea, they'd kick me out.

Welcome, Sparta! I moved to the south from California, and I was amazed at the sweet tea! In California all the tea in restaurants is unsweetened, and you put your own darned sugar in. Then the sugar all sinks to the bottom and you have crunchy tea. Here in the south, you get a choice- sweetened or unsweetened. Who knew? :)
