I caught myself letting one demon have a maudlin conversation with the other demon, and I said this is like wrong from so many angles...so I deleted the thing...500 words (So It doesn't really count 'cause it was crappy garbage)

So I went back to 'Shiva' wheere my MC is being more cooperative now that it looks like he's getting to go back into space. Of course his best friend is now disturbed about his behavior. He thinks there is more than meets the eye about a few recent deaths...and he is getting those niggling feelings bout some of the stuff that happend when they were teenagers.

All in all a nice 900 word net for the week...not 1,000, not 5,000....but neat permanent words.

And I have a nice person Critting 'Deciding Factor', so I'm re-editing that, but I don't count that as new words because Jeanne likes to have a reason to whip people other than Haggis.

Oh...and at the beginning of the weekend I had almost convinced myself to give up and concentrate on getting a job with more money...of course that would mean longer hours....but I drank a frozen daquiri with a lot more Bacardi than the recipie calls for...and I think I managed to quell that part of my brain for now.

900 is good. Editing is good. We are most pleased.

Oh, I did some stuff--mostly checking out potential new markets--but no new writing. The good news is that I had my WIP opened twice. Didn't do anything with it though.

Oh, I did submit to the chiZine contest. But maybe that was last week.

The output? Um, not so much, though market research is both important and time-consuming (so that counts) (a bit).

I think I've redeemed myself today. Got the 1st draft of the DMHO article done: 1100 words.

Do I get fewer lashes or a smaller body part chopped off? Maybe my chin? It needs help.

One rewrite, one submission, one follow up query so far this week. Almost 140 days and "still under consideration." *sigh* But anyhow, that makes 8 active submissions--a new personal high.
