Okay, I put in some key words for google alerts and have been getting emails telling me where my name pops up. And they all have made sense so far. But today I got an alert and my name was on some porno site. But the thing is my name isn't very common, Terrie Czechowski.

Did they just randomly pick a name (my name) to list on there? And why put my name on there anyways? It's not like I'm anybody. My gosh, please don't tell me there is a porno star out there with my name!

Did you search the page for the name? Presumably it is a name that is out there and some actor or director has it too. Also, do you have the anme in quotes? Otherwise all it needs is the first and last name somewhere on the page, not together.

Sorry it took so long to write back.

I did put my name in quotes. Also when I clicked to see if I could find it..lo and behold it was a pretty um...meaty site and started to do weird things (you know how sometimes sneaky sites will crash your computer or automatically add themselves to your favorites lists etc.) All these pop ups came up and the screen started flashing so I just got rid of the page as soon as I could.

I can understand those places using famous catch words/phrases/names to attract people but...

Okay, I just got brave and tried to look at it again and found that it is now a "banned site". So they must have just harvested a bunch of names or something and then got found out...maybe??

So much of the Internet still boggles my mind. Heck, I remember the PRE spam era.
