They're clematis. I have almost the same variety as those.

Oh CM, did you go to NASCAR? MrBugz was telling me about the track temperatures. 130 degrees? That's even a bit hotter than Phoenix in the summer.

amergina nailed it: clematis. I believe the variety is "Nellie Moser", but it wasn't identified when I originally bought it.

Okay I have gone to the evil side and it all started with a link to some great steampunk styled wedding rings.

B and I will be getting married sometime maybe this year. However it is going to be an elopment. But to satisfy our families, we have to have a reception kind of thingie.

I'm wanting a steampunk theme... which is going to completely scandalize the brains of my oh so conservative and narrow minded family. I figured that they think I'm weird so why not cross into the WTF category.

(is feeling very cruel right now in a very self satisfied way)

Indy, but word is the track temps were about the same. I'm surprised the tires didn't just turn into black jelly instantly.

Went to the library today to sign up my son for their summer reading program, which meant standing in line for about 25 minutes, and that was just for the kids' line (the teen line was also pretty long). Then another 10 minutes or so to check out after we finished browsing (and him playing in the kids' area).

It was packed, and forget about silence, there were kids everywhere talking and getting books and playing and the occasional shout or baby cry.

Try and tell me this isn't a good thing. For the first day of summer reading signup, anyway. Context is everything
