Your current music/band/artist obsession?

I currently am obsessed with the band ABBA, and at the moment with one of their first songs Ring Ring. AWESOME!

I'm still obsessed with The Butterfly Effect, can't stop playing their album over and over. Also, falling in love with Story of the Year again.

Tom Morello's Nightwatchman project. It's catchy and so freaking sincere. OMG.

I would have to say Live. I accidentally ran across the video for "They Stood Up For Love" on Youtube the other day and got back into them. Not that I'd been away that long...

ALVIN LEE - Too natural to be obsessed!

The Smashing Pumpkins. Always has been, always will be.

I saw Paramore play 'Decode' on one of the cable music channels and have since been playing it all the time on my iPod. Then I got their latest album Riot! last night so could be obsessed soon

I'm obsessed with Down who some of you may be familiar with as Phil Anselmo's current band. Their music is fantastic and I just love every single one of their songs off all 3 of their albums.

Canned Heat - They got the blues!!

I've really really gotten into Muse/Tegan and Sara lately, though my all-time favorite band is R.E.M.

The 1959 album by Miles Davis, "Kind of Blue". Timeless music, even though it was recorded almost 50 years ago.

My current obsession is punk rock.

The Misfits, mostly.



My music obsession changes frequently though.

There are so many great artists out there - the blues greats like Gary Moore, Roy Buchanan, Ronny Earl - the artist I listen to most is Mark Knopfler from Dire Straits fame. As a soloist his range of guitar style, lyrics, and skill make him one of the tops IMO.

100monkeys. They're relatively unknown, and I can't even really begin to describe their music found on their myspace page because it's so different and a bit bizarre. But the music on their 100monkeys fan-run appreciation group on facebook is more of a bluesy-rock kind of thing. I love though. And lately I've been on a Carrie Underwood/Taylor Swift kick, although I can't play it aloud when my dad is home, or he threatens to take away my computer (just because he hates it, and I like most of the same music as him, I'm the only one that's not allowed to listen to it), and I've started getting back into showtunes, probably because our school's musical is coming up in late February.
