In the novel I'm currently writing, I decided to throw linearity and unity of POV out the window, writing in present tense, and I LOVE what's coming out.

On another novel I wrote (that I may just revisit sometime), I threw linearity of narrative out the window and wrote a circular novel. For other reasons, the novel did not work out, but I'm getting there. I'd love to write another circular novel in the future.

The biggest "challenge" I've done is participating in NaNo last year. And that was a lot of fun, because I learned that I could, in fact, finish a complete rough draft of an entire book in a single month, and learned how to switch off my inner editor during that process.

Probably my next challenge should be writing short fiction. I've always had trouble with that. I'm used to novels, but I'd love to figure out how to write shorter.

Oh I've got a couple of those lurking. One is my hubby's (rather funky) idea. I keep warning him it won't stay the same once I write it down...
