I want to see the "Fondant Samples" simply because I've no idea what it means -- the only fondant I know is that icing paste that you use to create cake decorations.

The pricing seems fairly on target for a high-quality professional editor (at the Debra Doyle/Nicola Griffith level) but neither the credentials listed nor the website text convinces me that this editor could correct basic grammatical errors, let alone do a substantive edit.

Pikko posted about her freelance editing: http://absolutewrite.com/forums/showthread.php?t=293385

I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread about it here.

Uhm, ok. According to the website, the person has absolutely no training or education in this area, and has edited exactly one short story and partially edited (whatever that means) what looks like a non-fiction article or book or something.

There's no delineation between known types of editing, and the types or categories offered (proofreading, light, heavy) seem to be applicable to anything, and are without clear definition or description.

In addition, that page alone contains a number of errors in grammar, punctuation and the like, none of which bode well for the quality of editing services offered.
