Hi, I am new as well. D.M. King. Ohio. Published playwright, infatuated with YA genres. Trying my hand at writing novels now as well. Background in songwriting. English teacher. Seeking CP who is serious about writing books that don't just make it to the shelves but actually change people's lives. I'm not talking about inpirational novels really, but books that really motivate young people to never give up reading. Books that excite them so much that they just have to buy the sequel. Hope to be of some help to those who need a beta reader who is honest and a decent editor.

Welcome! My sister is an English teacher and she feels the same way you do - she's always picking my daughter's brains for new book ideas.

Welcome. I like your goals. Writing something that inspires people to read (and maybe even write) is a worthy goal. That's part of the reason I became a writer. I wanted to do for someone else what J.K. Rowling did for me.
