I hope I'm doing this right.
So hey everyone. I'm Sean. Shark Gelli is actually a name some folks at fictionpress gave me, and I liked it, so that's the story behind that. I'm an undergrad student at University of Arizona, majoring in Business Economics (I swear to god it's a fun major). Hope to eventually go somewhere like UCLA for a law degree and then work for the ACLU. Maybe. My back-up plan is to pursue writing as its own career. So the way I see it, my life will be enjoyable.
Of course, that's not who I am, per se, but the condensed version will probably have to do. Reading the unabridged version of my life is probably like watching the unabridged version of Yu-Gi-Oh!, in that it will take five episodes for me to ever resolve any confrontations I run across.
As for my writing, lately I've been a big fan of the surreal, bizarre, and the serial comma (actually, I've always used the serial comma but I'm just doing this for effect). I used to write a lot of murder mysteries, and before that, I wrote fanfiction (Megaman X, DBZ, FFT). What I really want to write is a story that evokes strong emotions, but I feel like I'm not quite there yet.
I'm a fan of David Foster Wallace, Joyce Carol Oates, Donald Barthelme, Donald Antrim, and, to a lesser extent, Miranda July. Though I think I'm a fan of them because I'm a fan of the surreal and bizarre, and not vice versa.
Heh. Yeah. And I'm really bad at ending intro posts.
And I was sent here by Eveningsdawn.
