Having troubles uploading a signature!

Well, I'm no longer a newb now but I'm still around 55 posts so I'd consider myself new in a way.
Anyways, I'm having trouble uploading a signature. I already have a picture in my computer and clicked "Broswe", put in my picture and then clicked "Preview." The preview showed the signature yet I don't see it in my posts. Can someone help me out?

Oh wow, what a fail. Right as I posted this my signature finally appeared! FAIL.
Well, how can I make it bigger then?

You can change the size of the image on your computer, then upload it again.

Or you can post it to a photo sharing website such as Flickr and it will automatically give you a choice of sizes.

Heh. I'm suspecting you're having a browser cache issue that was preventing you from seeing the sig, immediately.

As to making it bigger, what size is the original pic? I do restrict the file sizes for uploads for sigs -- so if you want it bigger, it might be more efficient to host it on your own site or photobucket account in the size you want it to appear, and use

tags.

The size of your current image is 371x35. The maximum you can upload from your computer is 500x100.

However, if you do what Mac suggested and put it on a hosting website, you can then use an image link and it can be larger.

Does that make sense?

This is just a temporary fix until you get your own Flickr account at some point and/or get more familiar with doing this.

Copy this: http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6007/5959528853_69caf86956_z.jpg

Go to your User CP

Go to Edit Signature

Choice Option 1 and paste the link above (that you copied)

Click Save Signature

(I would add a blank line at the top of your signature, but that's just me.)

alleycat, I think I change my mind. Using a picture is real difficult and it just turned out all fuzzy. Thank you so much though for helping, it taught me something so that maybe in the future I'll use something else. Thanks again!

Let's try this:

Go back to Edit Signature.

Remove anything there now.

In the top box, type in

Then paste the link [url]http://farm7.static.flickr.com/6007/5959528853_69caf86956_z.jpg[/url]

Then type in

All of that on the same line.

Save Signature
