Random fun fact:

Butterflies lack pigments. Their colors come from the way light refracts off of their scales.

:)

:e2writer:

*raises hand*

Will this be on the test?

Sorry, Dan. Opportunity and field improvisation, ya' know? I play no favorites where meat is concerned (though Newby is much tenderer than a grizzled old cowpoke like yerself, but you know what they say about any port in a storm).

Meat, meat, meat, meat, meat!

Everybody sing!

:gaahFine. I'll give you that one.

But I'm keeping robin's eggs. :wag:

Unless you can take that away from me as well, with some random fun fact.

You can't, right? :e2cry:

That actually wasn't my intent at all, it was just random trivia.

But your reaction was fun anyway.

You can have those.

There are sharks, too, now that I think on it, as well as some frogs and lizards.

None of which came to me when I was posting, and none of which are commonly used in referring to their color. Unlike lobsters.

Joe's cool. about 80% of my FB friends are published authors. I regularly converse with David Gerrold, Jeff Kooistra, Michael Flynn, Bud Sparhawk, Melinda Snodgrass, Juliette Wade, John Ringo, and many, many more. I've even friended Ben Bova which I thought was something of a coup.

Writers on FB are surprisingly open to being friended, but be warned - more than a few hold political views you might not like and are very vocal about them.

I don't drink much coffee, so one of those wouldn't help me much. But I do like the idea of hot tea and hot chocolate almost on tap.
We got a Keurig for Christmas. The hot chocolate is really yummy, and I'm not even that big a fan of hot chocolate. And DH likes to do tea in it.

But I have to say, I went back to my french press for coffee. The Keurig just isn't doing it for me.

If you like it strong have you tried their Italian roast? That's what I'm doing this morning and it is sooooo good. I'm picky and it is definitely one I'll buy again.

Our Walmart doesn't have the chai tea lattes my aunt had so I am ordering some of them and some apple ciders and teas from Amazon. Its all so good!

*hugs Keurig*

Oh, and I'd have never known this if it wasn't for my aunt, but each of the k cups gives 2 cups of beverage. I'd have thrown them after 1!

*hugs Keurig tighter*

*pets*

Yes, I think so. I do like it strong. I remember that one from the samples it comes with.

I think if you do the K cups (assuming you find one you like), it's not that bad. But I've been using the refillable baskets and using my regular coffee. I can't get it right that way.
