My YA m/s has had a good response from initial query 2-3 weeks ago with 3 requests for fulls, but 2 agents have rejected the full, one with very interesting notes about how it would work better if more paranormal romance / less sci-fi.
Am still waiting on 1 agent who has the full and 5 agents to respond to my initial query.
But the more I think about it, the more I think it would work better as a paranormal romance. And reading my 'hook paragraph' in my query, it certainly gives this impression (so mebbe this is why the agents wanted it anyway - the romamnce element and I've blinded them with too much science). So I've started revising it while I wait.
Now, anyone else had this? What happens if 1 or more of those 5 agents request a full? Do I send them the new one with an explanation? And once you finished your revisions and were happy with them, did you re-query agents who had your intitial (agents have asked to see my future work but no mention of seeing this one if revised).
Thoughts / experiences appreciated
