I'm with you all -- the distractions can be rough. For writing, I too, have a laptop with no Internet. That certainly helps. And I must say -- I hardly ever watch TV... until I'm trying to write. Then that TV monster just starts right up and jumps out in front of me!

And hey, 2+ chapters in 10 days isn't too shabby!

I lucked out.

I do my writing on my laptop. There are a lot of bells and whistles on my desktop that WILL pull my attention away.

Where I lucked out is there is a switch on the front of my laptop to cut my wireless connection. A physical switch. So I don't have to go through any machinations to get rid of online access (which is what was preventing me from cutting wireless from it, it's a hassle to stop and start connectivity from the software).

Flip a switch, insta!offline.

Works wonders.
