Hi everyone,
I've read on the forums from time to time about how many hits or views people get on their blog and/or websites. And I've also read that watching these numbers get "addictive" :)

I was wondering what tools that everyone uses to gather their numbers?

I use ICDSoft as my hosting site and there's a "counter" , one can use, and there's also Google's Feedburner that counts. But are there any other tools people can use to gather information on their website (preferably free) or html thingies one can use?

How about thingies for Blogger or WordPress?

And are there any tools that won't count when you, yourself, visit your own website?

Would love to explore being The Count (ha ha ha haaaa!!)

Blogger have a stats page and allows for removing yourself from the count. I rarely look at it because I know from posting videos on YT that checking numbers is addictive.

Google Analytics. You have to pop some of their code into your site for it to work but it's all pretty straight forward. It's probably the only web statistics you'll ever need.

Statcounter and Google Analytics, and then I also use a raw log processor to look at the Web server's logs.
