Kindle pairs w/Overdrive to offer Library eLending...but only in US

Anyone else excited that Amazon is finally allowing library lending for Kindle? Why, though, they would restrict it to the US is beyond me. I predict it'll spread to the ROW eventually, but why now immediately?
