You people really cheer up my day.

6'-3 1/2" so far.

What's the weather like up there? :e2poke: :D

I only made it to 5'2". :(

Me too. :D

*looks Lillian in the eye*

You have me beat by two full inches...

*rest arm on HJ's shoulder* Need a hand reaching up to the table for that coffee? :D :D

I have no problem with short people - it's short on thinking people who irritate me. (Grrrr. I've had a whole bunch of them today and it's only just past midday. Ugh!)

I was thinking of making my next book 15 words long to help with my stress levels. Two of them would be "the end", and at least two would be chapter titles. So, 11 words. Then after editing it might be 8 or 9 words. Easy.

Now I am worrying about subplots.

-----

I've made some decisions.

Gandalf dies and then comes back to life.

He's Frodo's father. (plot twist)

Elsa from "Frozen" is in it and sings a song called "Go." (it's a bit short)

Let's see, plot and subplot in 11 words . . .

Allison went to the dance. Carrie set fire to the gym.

Needs work, I think.

I'm a little confused about all this talk of writing.

Need coffee. *ducks out from under Gail's arm*

*does it adorably, but with a scowl*

Your plotting has more than 11 words - needs editing.

hmmmm. . . .

Gandolf, Frodo's father, returns from the dead. Elsa sings "Go".

There you go - down to 10.

Now I'm thinking of Elsa being an Austrian Terminator sent back in time (by Microsoft) to assassinate Bilbo.

Hasta la Pasta, baby.

----------

I'm now wondering if this ought to be a separate thread, perhaps entitled "ridiculous story ideas in 11 words".

Perhaps also a "hook me in one word" thread :)

We had a rainy day on Thursday, actually. The sky was one big, grey cloud, but there was no wind, so it wouldn't dissipate. It also wasn't thick enough to rain itself out - just constant drizzle and a few big showers.

Obviously Rob must've done his muppet rain dance... Complete with jazz hands, presumably.

Morning, house of shoe sales and weather.

I was thinking about how nice it would be to go to breakfast, but what I really want is for someone to bring me coffee every ten minutes until I have heart palpitations.

Good morning, House of Coffee Addicts!

As a fellow vertically challenged person (5'1), I get the cute thing a lot. Combine that with driving a very large truck and people can't contain their excitement. I don't really mind it, though.

That's so funny!

I wear heels to all the youth events, but they're catching up with me even in heels. Can't wait to get a new crop of 6th graders in there so that I'll be taller than at least some of them.

Here's my next book, it's called "The Happening":

Chapter 1

Something happened.

The End.

----

I know my writing can get a bit wordy at times. Sorry.

What is it with women and shoes? And (dare I mention it) Yankee Candles??

The wife has so many of the latter that our house could easily be mistaken for a candle warehouse.

YANKEE CANDLES!!!! *swoon* :e2thud:

I had to look that up.

Not the 'swoon' part - I got that - the 'yankee candle' bit. I thought they were candles made up like the stars and stripes. But then I thought that would be a bit like burning the flag and that's not nice. So... I Googled 'em. Okay. I got it now. :D

*sniffs thread*

I think we could do with a couple of them right here. :D :D

I learn something new in this place every day.

Wordy, but brilliant.

Yankee Candle is overpriced. I'm not a fan.
