That sounds delicious. You know, I saw a recipe the other day for a clementine chess pie that sounds delicious. I might try to tear myself away from the computer today to dig that thing out. I've never been much of a baker, though.

I'll take a piece of that Lemon Chess pie, Lavern. (Holds up plate; uses puppy eyes.)
Today I put up my first blog post since my surgery. I've written an occasional series about my experiences, mostly to inform/entertain family and friends, but also for women going through similar experiences. Sometimes I think I overshare, but then I remember I'm a writer and that's what we do, isn't it?

I'm honestly not being a smarty-pants here about the name, but what IS a chess pie? How is it different from an ordinary pie?
I just did a Google Image search for "Chess pie" and it looks like an ordinary American pie to me. *confuzzled*
