RIP Farley Mowat, age 92

RIP.

Marvelous writer.

I read his Never Cry Wolf in 7th grade (and saw the movie that same year) and I remember how much I loved both. It's the only thing I've ever read of his, but it's stayed with me for 30 years...

I don't know that I've read any of his writings, but I smile each time I see his name. My sophomore year biology class had a resident guinea pig in the lab. It's name was Farley Mowat.

Liked his books even though we knew he never actually lived up north.

By up north I'm assuming you mean the artic? He's Canadian, born in Ontario and spent a good chunk of his life living in Saskatchewan.

Both hubs and I really enjoyed his books.
