How about you two share the tongue and tell me about it first. :D Then I'll decide if I still think it looks good.

Looks good?

No, it looks like exactly what it is. No getting around that. But it tastes a lot like the tenderest roast beef you'll ever have.

If it's cooked right.

I'm also starting to think Ted and I are discussing two different things.

*I'm* discussing culinary pursuits, so we're clear.

We are. And if you like your tongue with habanero sauce, then we're still talking on the same page.

Not exactly the conversation I was expecting to walk into. Of course I know I should expect anything when I show up here. Cuz you guys are a bit weird.

No prob.

First, I skin the tongue and simmer it in beer/water with a bit of salt and a bay leaf for a couple of hours. Then, I make my habanero sauce, which is really like a marinara sauce made with habaneros that have been roasted a bit. I mix that with garlic and a little tomato paste. Then, take the tongue out, cool it a bit, then chop it up into smallish cubes, put it in a pan with the habanero sauce to slowly simmer for about 30 minutes.

I like it on tortillas with fresh lettuce, red onion and thin slices of radish.

I'm gone a little to write and now i'm so lost.

And i can see a dragon's tail not tasting all that well. Ever dissect a fish with hard scales. I have, they are a pain in the ass, and dragons have bigger harder scales. Not fun or tasty

Right Ally- dragon's tail so wouldn't be worth the trouble. Nope, it's not good at all.

It's hard for me to find decent Mexican food about here...it's all watered-down versions. I have to travel if I want anything decent. And I'm always willing to travel for a good meal.

We have plenty of Mexican food here. Pretty much everywhere with steak houses scattered in between.

Now that you said that, it has me thinking. I mean, what if I'm totally missing out on rich, meaty ambrosia? What if Dragon Tail tastes like bacon and other goodies? What if it's so damned good that it's the reason dragons were almost extinct?

I wonder what's the best way to cook a dragon's tail? Or would you eat it raw, like in a raw beef salad Japanese-style?

So, Night...hon, c'mere for a second I need to ask you somethin'....

*blasts fire at Ted*

You had better stick to tongue and leave my tail alone, mister! It's bad enough that Abby's always trying to pet it, I don't need you going after it with a meat cleaver.
