I have a question and a comment relating to Invincible.

Question: Is it possible for a scene to be forced, as such? I'm starting to think that about the scene I was stuck on last night.

Comment: I think I have figured out what the themes of Invincible are: Inner strength and friendship.

Yes. Usually when a scene feels forced, it's because your characters are acting OOC, or the plot is not progressing naturally.

OK. I think I might delete it and try writing it again in my notebook (it's easier, seeing I'm not going to have my laptop from the time it's packed up this evening til when I get it back) and see how I go.

At the moment im looking up some vampire myths to include in this chapter. I'm not sure whether to include the coffin thing or not. I only need one more myth.

I finished the rush job to deadline and I just sent back one of the manuscripts, so that just leaves me with ... er ... two full-length novels to edit.

Well at least your business is booming!

Packing sucks. I need to start up again and dont want too...

Lisa- cant cross running water unless in there coffin, cant go into the daylight, cant enter a house without being invited, cant see reflection, cant be photographed, have to drink blood to live, repelled by garlic, burned by crosses and holy water, can only be killed by decapitation, sunlight, and wooden stake to the heart, They dont need to breath, can charm/hypnotize people (mostly the opposite sex).... Hummm thats all i can think of.

I hadn't heard of the can't cross running water one before.

Its real old. I've seen it talked about in a few movies, and when i was little i went through a sever vampire craze, and read everything i could about them. hahahah who would have guessed i was like 10 years ahead of the trend! Back then liking that stuff made you weird.

Suspect it's something to do with the symbolic role of water as a purifier, and running water as the purest of all. (Anyone want to hear my analysis of The Shawshank Redemption? No? )
