I have Vista and whenever I've lost something I click on the "start" button (which is now the windows logo) and type in a short phrase from the story in the "search" box. It'll search everything on your computer for that phrase, so it'll find things even in temp folders, as far as I'm aware.
Also...it might be saved as one of those weird hidden files. They're hidden, obviously, but if you unhide them (I'll have to remember how to do that and get back to you) then if you go to the normal spot it's saved you'll probably find a 'hidden' file that would be your epiphany named with somethig like HFJLU278FHJS cause they all seem to have completely random names...Those actually might now come up in searches, but they're there. Especially in weird cases like this. (It happened to me many times over the years...)
As for me, I'm like katiemac. I'll write a paragraph in my head and it'll be amazing. Then, when I try to write it in the book, it's just flat and I can't remember my exact phrasings.
