In less than three weeks, DS1 starts kindergarten (full day!!!)! About a month after that, DS2 will head off to preschool! That means that for the first time in almost six years, I will have nearly 12 hours of COMPLETELY KID-FREE TIME EVERY WEEK!

I wish I could say I don't know what to do with myself, but I do. My ideal plan is to take my netbook with me when I drop them both off at school, and then find a friendly library or coffee shop, where I will write for several uninterrupted hours until preschool is over. In reality, I know that I may accomplish this sometimes, but I will also be running errands, taking care of the house, and catching up on all the little projects that fell by the wayside since the two little ones were born.

Any other write-at-home parents out there? How do you structure your time while the monsters are in school? How much writing do you get done?

Sat Nam! (Literally "Truth Name"--a Sikh greeting)

Not a parent. But cheering you on to get some writing (and other stuff) done while the kids are a-schooling.

Blessings,
