It would be interesting if anyone ever actually acted on studies like this one. Until then, yes, I guess the disasters will just go on piling up.

However, I have fixed the Mayan calendar problem: It's the end of the 13th Baktun, which started in 1618. So, no more Mayan problem.

In Florida, the Governor wants to turn many public parks into golf courses. He thinks the state will make more money that way.
Do you know how much money it takes to keep a golf course up and running? Not to mention the destruction of natural habitat.

They are getting what they voted for...in spades!
