...cause sometimes you just need a slap on the hea
Because I couldn't... well, I didn't... Actually, there's no real reason to explain why I continued the Rob Zombie thing and watched The Devil's Rejects other than to be able to say, "Yeah. Saw it."

At least this one didn't make me laugh in places where you weren't supposed to laugh like House did. Although, Kelly and I did crack open a bottle of wine and proceeded to tally the number of times the word "f***" was said because I read that it had one of the highest counts of the word. We got 204, but I'd add about 15 or so that we probably missed because... well, we were drinking wine.:e2drunk:

I Am Legend. Interesting. Now I'd like to read the book. There were some things happening I didn't understand; I'm sure the book would fill in the blanks.

Just watched Bourne Ultimatum last night! What a great flick! (Matt isn't bad to watch either!) The only question I had at the end of the movie was regarding a comment made referring to Jason's attachment to the CIA field agent. Did they have a relationship and he didn't remember?

It did kinda seem that way, didn't it? But they seemed to drop that plotline or it got cut out in final editing.

I don't remember it that way, but I've only seen it once.
It's never actually stated - just implied when she states that she always had a particularly hard time with Bourne's case, then they exchange looks.

Went to see I am Legend in theaters last night.

After seeing the film, I wanted to read the book.

Well, it looks like I'll be reading it online because when I went to the library to try to borrow the book, there were 54 holds on it. Everybody wants to read it now.

I went to go see the new AVP-R this afternoon by myself. It was actually pretty good. I was surprised, and it even had some comical scenes. A lot different than the first AVP and a lot more graphic. A LOT MORE action, too.

Magic on AMC. I'd forgotten how slow some 1978 movies could be, but Anthony Hopkins & Burgess Meredith were awesome. Unfortunately, I fell asleep shortly before the end so I may have to watch it again sometime. It was after 3 a.m., but that's usually not an excuse.

Tonight, it's the Planet Terror DVD! :)

My nephew insisted on showing me "Spider-Man III" the day after Christmas (he got the DVD from Santa).

Sweeney Todd. It was okay. Johnny Depp's voice was okay. Helena Bonham-Carter was okay. It was all just okay. I didn't mind their version of Pretty Women but i've seen John Barrowman and George Hearn do it better in Putting It Together. All in all, it was okay. That's damning with faint praise, I know, but I can't muster up more than just okay.

The Prestige, Marie Antoinette, and Chariots of Fire, all for the umpteenth time.

Hide and Seek, a documentary we got from Netflix.

An awesome, though-provoking account of a Jewish man and how he located the Polish farmers who hid out some relatives during WW2. Unbelievable twist.

Anyone with interest should watch it.

Fargo (again). Apparently, I am the last person on the planet to find out that the Coen brothers lied. It was not true, but an entirely made-up thing.

I know it's widely touted as one of the greatest films ever made and, where I thought it was certainly watchable and interesting, a whole region of Swedish-chef dimbulbs was mostly like watching a live-action caricature. Fun for me, but not brilliant. And now that I know it was all made up, it's a bit tarnished. Won't be watching that one again.

Do you think, or anyone else who has seen Sweeney Todd, that this movie is OK for a ten-year-old?

My daughter is a major Tim Burton fan and seriously wants to see it.
