I'm making some shifts in my life that will hopefully allow me to spend more time and energy on writing. I live in a rural area and there's not much support available for writers. I very much appreciate the fact that there are people out there with similar goals who are willing to offer words of encouragement and advice. I'll be bashing around in the forums reading as much as I can before I actually post anything. Thanks for the welcome Mac.

Welcome! Have a good look around, it takes a while to get all the fora sorted in your mind...
what's your poison - literary, Young Adult, Horror, etc?

Thanks for the welcoming words everyone. I've just started a novel that's in the sci-fi/fantasy genre. I'm trying to decide if I'm going to try to push it toward an adolescent readership and one of the things I'll be looking for is some advice of how that is best done.

Welcome, kizmet. Yes, I think you can find all the support you need here. I'm new too, and the hello's just keep coming in. Be seeing you out there.
