Not quite the end of the week, but since I'm going to be busy all day tomorrow, I figured I'd go ahead and update.
My three beta readers have been really quick on Book #4 - one has already finished, one is better than halfway through and the third has yet to start - but since I only just sent the draft out last week, that's pretty amazing. Of the two who've given feedback, it's been largely positive; most of their comments are of the typo variety although they've given me a few things to mull over.
I finished two books (E.L. Doctorow's The Waterworks and Pratchett's I Shall Wear Midnight), and am halfway through a third (Pratchett's Raising Steam). I will no doubt finish that during tomorrow's matinee, which means I'll have to get another book to read during my 3.5 hour late night train ride tomorrow evening. I'm headed home for a quick visit since we're not doing our usual Sunday matinee because of the Tony Awards Sunday night - our leading ladies are both nominated and are performing. And I know I'll finish the "My Writing Day" series tomorrow, so I'm calling it done.
I've been mostly fiddling with the start of Book #5 - wrote another couple hundred words but nothing substantial. I think it's because I'm not sure this is exactly how I want to begin, so it's been kind of slow.
1. Incorporate beta feedback for Book #4 as needed - 1.5 out of 3
2. Explore NYC with at least two more jaunts to places I've never been
3. Read five books - 2 of 5
4. Finish reading "My Writing Day" essays from The Guardian series - DONE
5. Get at least 10k words written on rough draft of Book #5 - currently 1,511
6. Decide whether to participate in July Camp NaNo
7. Start planning my social media push for the release of Book #1 in August
