1. Movie / Actor
2. You may think I'm hitting the bottom of the barrel again, but Leonard Maltin gives this three stars.
3. Definitely in theme.
4. 1970s film.
5. Has it occurred to you that there are more instances of one letter than of any other in the scramble?
6. It's another one of those mad-doctor-with-a-serum dramas, which (naturally) involves a human who's transformed into a !!! !!!

7/ The !!! !!! used in the film were imported from Thailand and were not defanged. The actors actually interacted with them. Only in one scene was a puppet used.

9. Look at Clue #5 again and apply it to the title. ;)

10. That's right, folks. The title consists of only one letter, repeated seven times. (Ten clues should be enough! :Headbang:)

:)

Here's another, branching onto a different theme...

JAIL / NERFSPEAR BEANFORK
- album / band
- album title is a word that can be an onomatopoeic name for animal sound (but in this case, I think another of its several meanings is intended, this one related to the plant kingdom)
- the band had just altered its lineup and, not long after, 'modernised' its name

- the title word can variously mean:
* the sound of a particular (common household) animal
* the sound of a particular aquatic mammal
* part of a category of plant
* a kind of boat

I've got the title--you've given us plenty of clues--but I still can't get anywhere with the band. :(

BARK / JEFFERSON AIRPLANE

They say "never give up," so I plowed on. For some unknown reason, I expected it to be a more recent band. :D

4. Hardcore punk band put out four albums but disbanded in 1985, when its guitarist was killed in a van accident.
5. Song might appeal to Kalashnikov lovers.

OYSTER SAY / KEY THATCAKE

1. Onomatopoeiatic song / oldies band
2. Released in the late 50s
3. The band may refer to a type of brakes on a bicycle, small coffee table protecters or maybe people who prefer to live near the shore

YACKETY YAK / THE COASTERS

There's a C missing in the scramble, but we'll let you off with a warning this time. ;)

Nope that's the way it's spelled. As far as I found, anyway. Saw it on the picture of the album.

TEAPOT! / MOM VISOR

1. More onomatopoeia
2. Song and singer are very obscure (sorry!)
3. You get in your car, you push down hard on the accelerator, and what do you hear?
4. Nymtoc's critical report: Good country-flavored music, but the title and the concept behind it are silly.

You're on the right track. Here are a couple more clues, since this really is obscure:

TEAPOT! / MOM VISOR

1. More onomatopoeia
2. Song and singer are very obscure (sorry!)
3. You get in your car, you push down hard on the accelerator, and what do you hear?
4. Nymtoc's critical report: Good country-flavored music, but the title and the concept behind it are silly.
5. The title is spelled slightly differently from that of the King Crimson song.
6. Check out someone named Liz Miller, who co-wrote the lyrics with the person in the scramble.

VAROOM! / TOM STIPE

You're right, that was obscure. Now that I gave away the King Crimson idea, I'll have to come up with something else.

Nice work, Joe. It's hard to come up with these onomatopoetic things!
