My editor contacted me yesterday about submitting a blurb for my ebook coming out soon and I keep coming up empty. All day long I have typed and deleted ... typed and deleted. Nothing sounds right. I don't know how to sum up my poetry because it's about so many different things. Any suggestions?

Thanks! :)

Is the title Tapestry Wings: Shades of My Heart ?? If so, there must have been a reason. Start there, write a short blurb on why it represents shades of your heart. If you're not satisfied with it, post that blurb and let us look.

Try asking yourself some basic questions, and maybe they'll jar something loose. Some examples:

Why do you write poetry?

What sort of things trigger you to write poems?

What sort of response do you want to elicit from your readers?

Congratulations on the e-book, and best wishes for its success. Be sure and announce it in the Announcements, Events, and Self-Promotion forum when it's out.
