I got burned!

Hi, y'all!

I found the Absolute Write site after a new client of mine started acting "curiouser and curiouser," making me Google them to see if anyone else had had a bad experience with them. Lo and behold, this company had a history, in their former incarnation, of not responding to e-mails, of making writers submit multiple invoices, dragging their feet on contracts, and then not paying them! Fortunately, I hadn't signed a contract yet, and was able to turn down the project, but I sure wish I had found out about them before writing half the book! The silver lining is that I found this wonderful site. I'm looking forward to hanging out with y'all and swapping war stories!
