Good one, Cliff. :D

I need to get into Netflix or something. I watched "Lost Boys" tonight and there were so many commercials it was hard to figure out what was going on. I don't think I've ever seen the entire movie.
Grr.

Ugh. I just installed a game on my laptop, because my desktop's disc drive is being silly (probably an easy fix, but I can't be stuffed right now). So the game installed in record time, and I was thinking, "Great! Here comes some gaming!"

Only, apparently Windows 7 has a problem with the game and won't let me play it. It's an old game, probably from around 2002 or so... And somehow, I think that if Windows 7 won't play it, then my Windows 8 desktop won't play it either. Crap damn it! I liked that game, too!

So now it's back to "What do I feel like doing?"

Good evening all.

I keep threatening to make some tea and I've yet to do it yet.

I am almost out of my mint/black tea/chocolate tea. And it makes me sad. I can drink it and drink it and drink it and not be kept up. But it's expensive. Maybe I'll get the big canister when I get my tax monies.

Cliff, if it's an old game, try looking for it in Good Old Games (GOG). If they have it there, get it from them. They are acquiring the licenses for old games and tweak them so they can run on 7.

Would that require paying for it again? I've already spent plenty of money on this game, and don't want to do so again.

(For reference, it's on a disc, not a download.)

Good morning, house of roller-coaster weather.

We have a little snow this morning. I think this will bring our total for the year up to 1/2 inch!

I think we've had just about everything in the past week weather-wise (even a mini heat wave of sorts).

I have coffee too . . . else I wouldn't be typing this.

Good morning, house of the cold. Stella and I made it about four feet from the house this morning before we decided it was freezing and not worth the effort. Brrrr.

Grocery store day for me.

I'm making my list and checking it twice.

Hello party people. Long night at work. Same ole, feet aching, tired eyes, should get to bed...

I've been disappointed with our weather lately, too warm and mild. I miss the rain and cold. :(

Oh, good. Tofu is probably an excellent fuel source for the fireplace.

:hi:Everyone.

Today, I became an honorary old person!

It's 'cos I like knitting but since I've already knitted enough sweaters to see my family into the next millennium, I was looking around for some project that would keep me out of trouble. (Ha!) So I found this:

http://www.sesegocares.org/projects Scroll to the section about 'Tannies* spreading love all over Gauteng'. I contacted them and asked if I could also knit for the kiddies homes - even though I'm only in my 50's and the big 6 0 is a way off yet. There was much laughter and I was called a 'spring chicken' but they are happy for me to join them. (Well, I'm not planning on actually going there, but I'll drop off the sweaters with them. :))

Any knitters here who want to join me? Syd? Want to crochet some willy-warmers beanies?

* tannies - aunties. Gauteng - province in which Johannesburg is situated.
