Here, there, everywhere.
Hi! :hi:

I've jumped on board ever since I found this forum. Lurking is definitely not my thing but I have found it's taken me time to move on to new places on AW. This is where I've decided to explore next. So, hi.

Maryn, I have to say I was highly impressed with the first post on this thread (as well as those on that first page). It only reminded me of why I fell so in love with AW from the first time I set foot on here: respect to others in such a high degree and with such honesty.

Thanks for making this yet another place I know I'll enjoy as much as the rest. Actually, judging from the last few posts, maybe even more. ;)

How nice of you to say so. Thanks!

I'm doing my best to lure writers whose paths I cross elsewhere to AW, especially the Erotica board, since it's not easy to find writing sites or RL groups which treat it like any other genre. I have a lot of referrals, but not many stick around. Sigh... Oh, wait. More publishing for us.

Maryn, who needs to get herself in gear and submit

Hi Sara, and welcome to the erotica forum. We could use a few more new posters around here (says a self-confessed lurker :D).

Hello everyone, not really a lurker, just signed up yesterday. I figured might as well jump right in to the deep end, even though I can't swim. (Have the buoyancy of granite.) Looking forward to learning from all of you.

Wow. First post and everything. We look forward to meeting you too. We can sit on the bottom and watch all the people swimming above us.

Thanks for the invite, that sounds cool. Though I would require prescription goggles to enjoy the view.

We can always use a new man to pick on, kick around, bounce ideas off of. :D

Thanks Maryn, Synonym, always good to pick a brain or two, or more. Guess I'll be getting my tires kicked, just to see how much (hot) air is left in them.

Surely there's a 'lube job' joke in here, but I'll refrain. Until I get to know you better, that is. LOL

I guess we're opposites then. I drive as part of my job and own far too many vehicles.

You're saving scads of money--no insurance, tags and taxes, fuel and upkeep.

Then you're used to laying down the rubber.

Yes, bus passes and taxis are cheaper.

I don't thing people call them 'rubbers' any more.

My South African latin teacher asked a girl to hand him a rubber during class once.

He was referring to an eraser.

The results were interesting.

I had a critique group member refuse to read onward in a thriller in which a character mentioned oral sex with a condom with the term loving the latex. I so wish I had a local, face-to-face critique group for erotica! (Why don't you all move to my city?)

Maryn, who'll help you find housing

Hmmm. Tempting but, can you find a rural route to go with that housing? I'm going to need some money to support my writing habit. :D
