Hi everyone. I'm Liv, from the south coast of the UK. I've recently been signed by Choc Lit and feel a bit like Bilbo, on the start of an adventure.

I love both reading and writing (obviously :) ) and have quite diverse tastes, from Terry Pratchett to Maeve Binchy. I especially like novels that are set in Ireland.

Am married, with five children, one husband, and one Westie.

Can't give up the day job yet...I work for the NHS...but am planning to do so next year, to look after my daughter's first baby. Hoping to find more time to write then as well, but it could be I've forgotten what hard work babies are.

Hope to get to know people on what appears to be a great site.

Hi liv. This time around, since you've have five of your own, you may wish to start a diary and keep all you see in your grandchild as he/she grows up before your eyes. You will be surprised at how much info you will gather in those years...oops...yes I said years.

If you are serious about writing, it just may take some years to get good at it and more if you want to get published...So getting back to that diary...I wish I had thought of it at the time. The memory is not always there after the fact.

You might even find something in the crayon maks he/she will undoubtedly make on your paper as you travel through this part of his/her life and of yours.

Good luck in your writing and don't think we didn't notice that you mentioned that you only have one husband. LOL. I haven't looked it up yet, but I will look to see what a "Westie" is.

Yours in writing.

Calvin M.
