Hello everyone, I thought I'd introduce myself. I'm from London, but have now settled in Liverpool.

I'm so glad I've found this place, been looking for somewhere to talk about writing and hopefully learn loads too. I'm probably going to be mainly reading at first.

I started writing mainly scripts as part of my degree in Film. I loved writing them, but have realised I'm too much of a control freak for screenwriting.

I like writing flash fiction and short stories. I have a full length script I'd love to turn into a novel (if I could just get the ending to work!)

I have recently started working on a novel. I normally plan the story out before I start writing, but this time I'm just writing and seeing where the story takes me. Its an interesting (if a little scary) change.

Outside of writing I'm football (soccer) mad and am a maths geek.

Welcome, MoonFlower (that's how I read it at first). I just want to say, I love the Essex accent. Most UK people crucify me for that. Don't know why.

Welcome! I'm always amazed by people who love both math and writing! Creativity and algebra simply don't go together lol - just ask my math teachers. I was not their favorite student. Happy writing! :)

Hiya Luna! Welcome to AW. :)

Since you're from London, have you read any of Kate Griffin's works by chance? I believe she's a writer who currently reside there.

Thanks all for the welcome :D

I like Moonflower! I used to work with lots of people from Essex, and began to pick up their accents. These days my accent is a strange hybrid between London and Liverpool.

I always get told I can't be good at both, they both just come naturally to me. Learning Foreign languages on the other hand, I just can't remember any of the words.

Maybe your Maths teacher should meet my old French teacher, I think I was her worst ever student!

I haven't read any of her books yet, but have Stray Souls on my pile of books to read.

Welcome. Which genre and age group is your current manuscript?

Currently working on a murder/Crime novel for adults.

My other story, which started as a script, is a YA Fantasy. This one is very much on the backburner at the moment.
