Oh, you have come to the right person, Zoe! practice the speech multiple times, and mark in spots to pause and breathe. try to make eye contact with as many people as you can. speak very slowly, smile, go to bed early the night before, and remember to blink. when you look down at your paper, don't speak while looking down. look up and speak into the microphone.

Tally is the goddess of tips!
I know how to present perfectly (my teachers in middle school made sure we all did). So it's not the speaking part. It's the public part. And the nerves. Lots and lots of nerves.

Imagine they're all in their underwear.

okay, I never did that. I looked in the mirror and said 'i am the smartest, prettiest, funniest, sexiest, most talented, most confident, most amazing bitch in this whole place and all those motherfuckers better know it!'

The main important thing with public speaking is just to speak slowly. That covers a lot of ground.

Nervous speaking in English? Try public speaking in French. That's WAY worse.

I do everything in school in French. I do my exams in french, my classes in French, my projects in French... All except for Language of course.

Consider yourself lucky, Zoe. I had to do a French speak off... I didn't win, as I was competing against older people. But, it was quite nerve wrecking.

I went to French school, learned to read and write French first, and am better at French than English. Much better.

ETA: Alberta, right, Taylor?

Newfoundland, Tally!

But I do have a part of France nearby. St. Pierre. It's not Canadian. No no.

I took a class in fourth grade where we learned French... but I only remember to say 'Hi my name is Zoe. How are you? I'm good.'

I also know how to count to 19. But that's it. :D

I took Spanish last year! I wanted to take French, but my parents wouldn't let me.

In your mind
Haha. All I know how to say in French is...well it's not the most polite thing. But English, Japanese, Spanish, Mandarin, and Tagalog–sure, I can get by on those.
