Don't worry about it. I've found the more I push the less I accomplish. For me it's easier to leave it until whammo I can edit or write without having to settle down to do it. Maybe it's the same for you.
That's about how it is, yeah. But I did notice that after I worked on that page, oh! how my eyes hurt and were tired.
Do you have the keys that let you adjust the brightness? If not I know they sell filters and screens at places like Staples to cut the brightness and glare

At the Bent Nail Saloon, the cowboy reined his near dead roan to a stop. A show of pain, clenched teeth and wrinkled brow, flashed across the cowboy's face as he dismounted. Holding tight to the saddle horn, he uncinched his saddle and pulled to the ground. The roan was set off to fend for its self.
