Instead of starting to write a new novel of epic proportions that has been bubbling in my mind for the past week...

...I've sat here for the past couple of hours clicking "New Posts".

Damn AW, damn you for this addiction.

Some of us end up with *twitch* *twitch*, side effects if we try to quit.

That would self-defeating, I think. I'd just keep refreshing it to see if anybody has posted anything new. :)

Hah, so true.

Not to worry, Word has just popped up with some update thing.

It's a sign.

Off I go for some story telling.

See you in 10 minutes.

I search and read AW every day...first thing in the morning, last thing at night. I read so much that my mind boggles at the different themes and topics.

I read so much in fact, that I don't have time to post. Is that procrastination? How do you AW'rs with 17,000 posts do it? How do you find the time to post here and write?

Many posts are of little substance. It's not a major effort to write back with an "ROFL" or a "luvz ya."

Take this one for example...

I wonder how they find time to post here and eat or sleep, let alone write!

I type fast and make no apology for that.

Weird thing is, when the site's down, I have a tendency to lose my mojo. AW is my way of associating with other writers without having to actually - GAH! - have people around me physically.

*leans in, reading over Peach'e's''se's shoulder*

I think Mojo should be capitalized.

Waste of time? Or "research"? You decide.

Waste of time is what it really is.

"Research" is what you tell your S.O. it is when they ask what you do with all of your time. lol

That is 7, or possibly 8 kinds of sad.

I prefer the folks on this site to those I know in real life. How sad is that?

Honestly, though? We're all together because we have something in common. A love of the written word.

The people in our 'real' lives are often there because of an accident of proximity.

Big deal. I'd rather have friends with whom I share something more important than geographical location.
