For my military non-fiction MS, I've been conducting numerous interviews. When citing, what is the proper method I should use for the footnotes, and bibliography?

Footnotes and bibliographies follow a whole set of rules that are the bane of people who have to write dissertations, etc. But it's best to get them right. You can't go wrong if you follow MLA (Modern Language Association) style:

Take a look at it. Complicated, huh? But there's no easy way around it.

When you write these things you'll have to use superscripts. If you're using Word, there are different ways to do this. It's very simple in Word 2007 and somewhat more difficult in earlier versions of Word. This site will tell you how:

Some people make their living doing footnotes and bibliographies for other people's books. Would you want to do that for a living? Neither would I.
