Hi, I'm from Sacramento, CA, and I write fantasy and SF (so far, anyways). I've got a fantasy novel I've finished and am polishing before I send it to some beta readers, and I've written a couple of short stories I'm trying to polish up for submission (and hope to write some more soon). I've heard this is a great site for writing and aspiring writers at all levels, so I joined up. I look forward to meeting you all online and reading your works in progress.

Take a wander around the various forums, there's lots to see and lots to learn, and even some fun threads too. Come along and pop on over to the Newbie Pub (at the top of the Newbie forum) and say hi, there's plenty of friendly faces that you can chat with and lots of banter. There's also the Question of the Week thread at the top of the Newbie forum where you can answer random questions.

Don't forget to read the newbie guide, and if you want to know what all the buttons mean check out this thread.

Welcome to the forums! During my student days (long ago!) I stayed in Sacramento (or rather Carmichael) for some time, taking English courses and staying with the family Morse.

ELWagner. Welcome.

Wouldn't it be interesting to find out that someone has written a Fantasy book about an aspiring writer named ELWagner writing a book on Fantasy? And that the world he/she thinks she/he lives in doesn't exist, and that the AW Water Cooler doesn't exist and that what she is reading now is only a figment of his/her imagination, which is what it's all about anyway?
