I might also suggest do not go searching for the name unless you are ready to purchase it if not already used. Reason, Domain Jumpers search the search base to see who is looking for what...

Dot com. I like having dot net addresses available in theory, but in practice it all seems to go bollocks up. I can never remember that part, but I would recall "books."

I'd say that if you're strictly promoting your written work with the site then the .com is best as it has "books" in the url. if you're promoting other things you do professionally as well as your books, you might just want to make it your name.

I don't dislike the (.net), but (.com) does seem more professional for some obscure reason. However, I do prefer the name only without 'books'...up to you though
