Kitty, Big Congrats!!!!
I suppose I'm the only one around here in a good mood because it's opening day?
Yay, Kitty!
I'm a little sad today. I'm very sick. That sinus infection I had a couple weeks ago has infected my lungs, so now I have this brain-jarring cough. The cat won't come near me. And I don't think I'm going to be able to go home for Easter because I don't want to infect my family.
The doctor gave me another round of antibiotics yesterday, and a couple of shots, so I'm hoping to kick this by Monday. I can't miss work, so sick or not, I'll have to go. And I have a busy work week next week.
Work is bad! Napping is good! Hope you get lots of rest.

Congrats Kitty! Which grade do you want to teach?

Closing in on 10K in a week! Gotta love spring break.
I have finished the All is Lost moment, got up at 6 a.m. to write the Dark Night of the Soul chapter, and now I'm on to the Finale!
I never thought I'd have so much fun following an outline, but it's really helped me speed things up. I've been able to stay focused on what needs to be accomplished in each section, I feel like I'm on the right track, and I'm not wasting time doubting myself. Things are looking very good to have the first draft finished by the end of the month. Which would mean two months of brainstorming, four months of writing. Give myself another month or two for revisions, and I could be querying by summer!
And I still have 3 more days of vacation.

I think 2, 3, or 4, but I also kind of want to be a resource specialist (a special ed teacher who doesn't teach a special ed classroom). I was extremely unofficially offered a position as a resource specialist in a couple years when my school expands to K-8.
