5551. Remember "Le Car" from the late 70s?

5552 Not personally, I had to look it up. If those are from the late seventies they sure were ahead of their time looks wise, 'cause they are not far off from everything made today =(

5553. There were a lot of tiny, boxy cars back then, such as the Chevy Chevette and the Pontiac whateveritwascalled. The Toyota Echo and Ford Focus are the modern equivalents. What goes around comes around; people start worrying about gas again the microcar comes back into style.

5554 No one should be allowed to sell a car that gets under 35 miles per gallon. There should be a law... but that just me. =)

5555. "Chevy Chevette, it'll drive you happy..." I'm sure those ads are on Youtube.

ETA: Nope. But here's a print ad.

55 56 57 58 59 .... It broke my heart when the Corolla (33 mpg highway) got wrecked and the used Dakota I bought as a stop-gap got only 16 mpg! I love that truck but it's a bit of a guilt issue now.

5561. I'd consider a Prius once the Dakota goes kaput (which it's showing signs of). I almost got one in 2001 when I got the Corolla, but they were too new and nobody knew if the technology would hold up.

Here, there, everywhere.
5562. Heh, we have a Renault Megane Break. Not a bad car. We're getting a new one soon'ish though and it will most likely be a Volvo, either the S40 or the S60.

5563. I think I'd be too superstitious to drive a car called a "break"

5567 The S60 is supposed to decent in reliability, but still not the Volvos of the past =( Grandpa owned a Renualt back in the 60's. I think our family has owned every American car ever made... and there was Grandpa. He liked things European: Renault, MG, Fiat, Volvo...

5569. I only know Volvos by (their good) reputation. I'm a fan of Japanese cars, with Toyota my first choice followed by Honda. Nissans don't impress me much but I would consider one.

5570. Sara: It's a minor OCD. Just like always seeing if someone I've just met is righty or lefty (it doesn't matter, I just always make it a point to check), or not liking different foods touching each other on the plate.

5573. *blush* The GF says she's going to hide a bunch of peas in my mashed potatoes next time I'm over. It's a good thing she's pretty.

5575. You're right on both points: the peas and the pretty.

Okay, I'm done being all mushy (peas)
