Suddenly I feel the need to read Liberty Meadows and contemplate Dean's lack of ability to relate to women...
that's brings up something i've been meaning to discuss about the locker room at the y.
i'm just not sure if we should discuss it here or in the old farts thread.

Well, prolly the old fart's thread. I think it would be nice if we could preserve our innocence here for a while longer.

ok, so,..you just touched on my issue.
so now i'm going to discuss it here.
as they said on seinfeld the male body is not pretty.
very utilitarian.
it's like a jeep,...it's for getting around.
even if the person is very fit, it's nothing to look at.
soo,.....yeah,....the older bodies or even less fun to see.
and when i say 'less fun' i mean 'completely disgusting and you need to choke back vomit if you were to catch even the slightest glimpse.'
no offense, haggis.
anyway, i'd like to know why the older men insist on standing around the locker room completely naked all the time?
they stand there and have conversations.
read magazines
watch tv
bend over and file their toenails
etc etc etc
the list is endless.
a) do the women do this too?
ii: have these guys been hired by the club to inspire people? or possibly keep the traffic moving through the locker room?

Yes, of course. Although, I never knew there was something called a 'locker room'. It sounds like this is someplace seperate from the workout area....
Well, it could be that they've reached the point in their lives that they really don't give a rats ass what other people think and are just glad that they still have working parts.
Or, maybe they're just trying to gross you out.

There is a pool at my gym and although I usually don't get the opportunity to go early, a few times I made it for 5:00am, when it opens.
You have to cross through the pool area to get to the womens locker room/bathroom.
On one of these rare occasions there was a gentleman who was prolly around 90, swimming naked in the pool.
Not a good look and yes management did ask him to put on a swim suit.
including the part about the mankini.
