25th novel finished

Just passed my 25th novel over to my wife for a final proof read before submitting it.

I've been writing since '91, but only finished my first novel in '98, so 25 novels in a wee bit over 15 years. Wonder how long I can keep this average up before senility sets in

If I didn't follow you here or on Twitter, I would've assumed that was a typo and you meant 2.5th novel. Twenty-five is simply amazing. Please keep it up.

My ideas file is still brimming so I've got a few more in me yet. As I say, age might be the limiting factor. I'm 56 now, and aware that I'm aging. I can't see myself ever retiring as such, but slowing down considerably is certainly a possibility.

BTW, do you write quickly? (Umm, that seems like a stupid question now. Obviously you do.) ((Although now that I've read your FAQs, you say you write slowly, but quite consistently.))

I've looked at your website before but I'm off for another peek.

I edit as I go, and I average 1500 words a day - that's every day, so over a year it's over 1/2 million words. Last year that was a novel, five novellas and 30 something short stories.
