I've worn out two copies of the Amadeus soundtrack -- I guess I'll download it the next time I get it. Currently I'm wearing out my Pendragon CDs (great local Celtic group). Also my Decade of Steely Dan CD and my Legend (Bob Marley) CD.

I mean, it changes, but for what I'm writing now, it's lots of Andrew Bird and Beirut (and occasionally-- very occasionally-- crazy Eastern European stuff, like Man Man and Balkan Beat Box). It has to be either mellow enough that it's not distracting or chaotic enough that it's just noise.

Yann Tiersen's soundtrack for Amelie is fantastic, too.
