Gaaaah! I'm late to the party, but Reg, congratulations! That is so awesome!

:snoopy:

By the way, if you get shmooed for reaching a certain post count, do you get shmooed for other accomplishments, e.g., landing a publisher? Just, ya know, curious. :D

That, or if you say something nice and smart to a MOD, you'll find yourself with a new avvie :D - depending on the MOD of course.

You've raised an interesting point. I must ponder about this.

Reg, i kinda want to be a nosy pain in the butt and ask what your book is about and which publisher picked it up. Do you have anything relating to it on another AW thread? Or will one of your links tell me more?

I write middle grade, too, so i'm extra double interested in hearing more about your book!

Edited to add:

Oh yeah -- good morning everyone!

The publisher is Writers AMuse Me. Auntybug and Stew21 are published with them. The book is set in World War 2 and is narrated by a dog. She is owned by a young Jewish boy and tells the story of her search for him after he is taken by German soldiers.

Oh, awesome concept! My niece (turned 9 yesterday) would LOVE it. She's obsessed with dogs. I think most kids in that age group are. And what a great way to make such a serious historical event accessible to them.

Seems to be a normal quiet Sunday morning here .. Church and hangovers I guess ...

Got out and collected about a 125 gallons of sap today .. will do some cooking in the morning ...

Sounds like a good amount. Good luck with it. There was an article in the paper here this morning saying Vermont is going to have one of it's smallest maple syrup years ever.

oh, that's sad. I love maple syrup. I knew I hated this mild winter (which is why the sap is down, right? or do I have that wrong?).

Really, I did hate the mild winter for more reasons than just maple syrup production. I like snow, and here in NYC, we got just about none. It felt all wrong to wander out in January in just a sweater. And while usually I'm jumping up and down when spring gets here, this year I'm just "eh."

Sunday morning means eggs, smoked sausage and waffles. I cook. The kids do the dishes.

Haggis...your new avie...that's a lot of exposed fur. Look at the way Kayleamay is leering at you. Kelly seems to be giving you the glad eye as well.

I dug out my rings to see if they still fit. :)

Other than that it was eggs, and hashbowns.

Strange, innit? Happens every time I walk around with no pants.
