I took the opposite route. I signed up as soon as I discovered this board, then got quieter and quieter (near lurking) because I am learning more just by reading. Everyone else seems to ask my questions before I get a chance to.

Yeah, this site is addictive. But there's so much to learn, I chalk it up as time well spent. While I may lose some writing time, I gain in the long run by not making as many mistakes (and having to rewrite). The honest feedback I get in critiques are priceless, and may make the difference in whether my story is published. So welcome, and take full advantage of everything the site has to offer.
