Scott Pilgrim vs. the World - First movie I've ever walked out on. Just brutal.

Well, this afternoon I listened to The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo because I refused to watch it. So I sat in the study, which is beside the lounge room, and listened to Swedish for an hour or so while I did my maths homework.

I watched a start of The Kingdom of Heaven for my elective history class. Liam Neeson makes me smile. And so did that guy from Grey's Anatomy, the guy who played Poseidon in that Percy Jackson movie. It looks pretty good so far. We watched Troy last year and didn't take too well to Orlando as Paris. *eye roll* Or maybe it was just Paris.

I'm watching Friday the 13th the remake. It's surprisingly good. Better than I thought it would be.

The American. I liked it but the audience I sat with...not so much.

Marmaduke. (I watched it with my kids -- they wanted to see it.)

My four word film review of this flick:

"Great Dane. Bad film."

Yesterday was the day of the remakes. besides watching Friday the 13th, I watched The Day The Earth Stood Still with Keanu Reeves and Journey To The Center of the Earth with Brendan Fraser. I enjoyed all 3 more than I thought I would but Journey was by far the most fun.

Remake of 3.10 to Yuma. Russel Crowe. Thoroughly enjoyed it. Longer and more varied in setting and scope than the original.

The Ghost Writer. With Pierce Brosnan and Ewan McGregor. So-so flick.

Master and Commander. First time I've seen it. It's a very good film.

I hated it. Haven't been able to sit through the whole thing.

My husband make me watch the Blues Brothers last night, since I said I had never seen it. I really don't get what the appeal is. Thought it was pretty boring, and several parts didn't even make sense.

Machete. Basically Grindhouse without the irony, and very entertaining.

I actually watched Diary of a Wimpy Kid last night. An adorably hilarious family movie but it just dragged on near the end.

Watched Jaws last night, haven't seen it in years. Love that movie though. Still has one of the best lines ever.

Saw this one too, but didn't really care for it. Definitely not my favorite work from Rodriguez. Some of the casting felt off to me and there were times when I could "see" the directing. "Okay, explosion 1, Go." "Explosion 2, be ready...Go."

Grindhouse and Planet Terror was way more entertaining to me and so far none of his work has topped Desperado and From Dusk Til' Dawn. IMO
