It probably is, seeing as at least one "older" AW member is also having issues, and I think Vince DES was not

Oops. Just checked my reps and it was Don, not Vince.

And Don's been around a while.

Maybe it is just you new folks. :tongue

Ah, but we have a pet-free guest room AND you can swing by and visit your #1 girl on the trip back. *tempt tempt*

And there always is marvelous sushi here too....

Well, I may take you up on that guest room the next time my little one has an early morning thing at her school. Would beat sleeping on her floor again, certainly.

:D

I posted a question about the rep-boxes in TechHelp.

*Sits on thumbs - waits for reply.

It could be worse. All of Aw could be down again. I can live without giving/getting as many reps for a while :)

For some odd reason, a new page opens when giving reps on google chrome (my primary browser), internet explorer, and safari for me. But when I tried Mozilla firefox, it didn't do that. Odd.

Yup, I have Safari. Pretty sure Vince has Chrome. I think he mentioned it.

Ah-HA!

Well, there's your problem right there.

I'm on Firefox. With ad and pop-up blockers installed.

Gawd, newbs get it rough.

As you should.

We have to weed you out to make sure you have what it takes to make it, you know. In your best interests and all.

:D

Which is not to say that some people don't slip through the cracks anyway, now and again.

Hey, this is why I didn't pledge a sorority. I don't need this! :D

But you all mean well...right? :)

I also use Firefox exclusively and have no problem. It might be a browser compatibility problem with the new upgrade.

That's what I'm thinking -- which is why I tested things out.

Sheesh, I hate when these things happen.

I did testing for a while, back a while ago, and discovered that AW seems to prefer Firefox. *shrug*

Nice. Welp, that solves that problem. I'm stuck with it then.

Wow, look at us. Aren't we just clever folks. No, seriously, I'm impressed with us this morning. We've actually figured it out, I think.

I've only ever used Firefox because Safari is next to useless, Chrome didn't impress me - neither did Opera, and as for IE? I'd rather be offline that stuck with that POS.

I suspect that's something they may well address, if they can, now that they know about it. Or it may even be something you can deal with in the settings.

The tech people here are pretty smart, I suspect they'll figure it out.

Hahaha. It's not the only site apparently. My university seems to prefer firefox.

I wonder what is is about the fox. I know Chrome is fairly new, or more recent, so it's bound to be susceptible to this stuff. It has it's hang-ups, but-but it's my frikin primary browser!

If Chrome is that new, then it's possible that many sites haven't been written to take advantage of it.

Sites are coded to work best with certain browsers, depending on what the site creators knows to code to. The best creators will code to everything on the planet that they can, as best they can, but it's not always possible.

Thus, I will run several browsers, depending on what my favorite sites tend to favor. It's a minor inconvenience for having zero trouble with places I like to visit.

I might be weird that way.

 IE is so frikin sloooow for me. I barely use it. Maybe I should give the fox more attention now.

My uni prefers IE, but I think that is some sort of brokered deal with the evil spawn of Satan from Seattle. I have to laugh, because every semester they put up this big campaign about internet security and all that...

And want you to use the least secure browser on the planet.

:rolleyes
