Maria Jones is a demon with problem.
Her grandfather is king of all demons. On her 18th birthday she has to get a tattoo that symbolises her adulthood and responsibility as a demon and she hates pain. Surprising for someone who is supposed to deliver it regularly. Maria's different from other demons. She feels. She wants to be normal, like her school friend Max who always stands by her side even when her family practically disowns her for socialising with humans. It’s not her fault she's so damned likable.
Usually she's to stay out of her families troubles, but as there seems to be a pissed off demon on the hunt for her grandfather and to kill him, she's pretty much left on her own while others try to protect her Grandfather and find the bad guy. However, they're doing a lousy job of it. Raphael is the guy who is hired to protect Maria so she doesn't get caught, since because she's next in line to be queen (sadly) she's in more danger than she thinks. When she decides to take matters into her own hands and find this guy on her own, of course that's when things get tricky. Max is her right hand man, and Raphael just won't leave her alone. What girl wouwldn't want a tall, tanned and toned (not to mention covered in demonic tattoos) guy following her every move? Well, this demon princess for starters.
Maria ends up finding Kato, the bad demon on hunt for the Jones family. Well, more like he finds her. And he's in the form of a really hot guy but then, he has several tricks up his sleeve.
